A proud milestone for PTL Golf and a testament to dedication, resilience, and world‑class performance.

PTL Golf is thrilled to celebrate Alena Sharp’s induction into the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame, an honour that recognises her remarkable career, leadership within Canadian golf, and her long‑standing commitment to excellence on and off the course.

Although Alena had always hoped her journey would one day lead to the Hall, receiving the news this early in her ongoing career was an emotional and humbling moment.

I wasn’t expecting to be inducted so early on… This ranks right up there with being a three‑time Olympian,” Alena Sharp

Alena headlines the 2026 class of inductees, which also includes respected industry leader Peter Broome and international golf icons Pat Bradley and Lee Trevino. All four were unanimously supported by the selection committee and will be honoured at a ceremony later this spring.

A Career Built on Consistency, Grit, and Growth

Alena’s journey began in Ontario, where she quickly established herself as one of Canada’s top young players - capturing four provincial titles in just three years, followed by her first national title in 1999.

Her collegiate career at New Mexico State University continued the momentum, earning multiple individual and team victories.

Turning professional in 2003, Alena built a winning record across multiple tours:

  • 2 wins – Canadian Women’s Tour

  • 4 wins – Westcoast Ladies Tour

  • 2 wins – Cactus Tour

  • 4-time champion – PGA Women’s Championship of Canada (2nd all‑time)

On the LPGA Tour, Alena has competed in 389 events, delivering:

  • 16 top‑10 finishes

  • 68 top‑25 finishes

  • 20 appearances in Canada’s national open, highlighted by a 4th‑place finish in 2016

She also holds two Epson Tour victories, including the Champions Fore Change Invitational in 2023.

Proudly Representing Canada

Alena’s commitment to her country is a defining element of her career. She is one of few golfers to compete in three consecutive Olympic Games:

  • Rio 2016

  • Tokyo 2020

  • Paris 2024

And in 2023, she added a Pan American Games bronze medal, strengthening her legacy as one of Canada’s most decorated international competitors.

Despite a recent off‑season knee surgery, Alena continues to focus on her game with the same determination she brings to her coaching work at PTL Golf.

“My coach, Pete Lockett, told me to let this sink in… Now that it’s official, it is sinking in.” Alena Sharp

Celebrating a Hall of Fame Career

At PTL Golf, we’re proud to support athletes who inspire through dedication, resilience, and continual growth. Alena’s Hall of Fame recognition reflects everything we value in our coaching philosophy - building strong foundations, nurturing talent, and striving for excellence at every level.

This milestone is more than an honour; it’s an inspiration for every golfer who dreams big, works hard, and believes in the journey.

Congratulations, Alena. We couldn’t be prouder.
